This mini ITX socket motherboard with AM1 socket is especially well suited for corporate and office computers or HTPC, where reliable and energy-saving operation matters more than high performance. Reliability is guaranteed thanks to its 100% solid capacitors for long service life and stable performance and FULL SPIKE PROTECTION, which encompasses surge protection, lightning protection, and protection against electrostatic discharges.
The board is of course fully compatible with the newest Microsoft Windows 8.1 operating system and supports AMD processors with the Kabini core, which have an integrated graphics chip used for managing graphics operations without an additional graphics card. To connect a monitor, TV, or projector you can choose from a DVI, DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI, or VGA connectors routed to the rear I/O panel. You can also mount a graphics card via a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot. The board uses DDR3 RAM with a maximum clock speed of 1600 MHz. Four SATA III and two USB 3.0 connectors allow you to connect high-speed storage devices, while one mini-PCI Express slot lets you mount a WiFi network card.
A somewhat unusual feature of this motherboard is a DC-In jack for connecting an external power supply that you know from laptops, for instance. It is up to you whether you choose to power your PC through a classic 24-pin connector or DC-In jack.
Other features:
- Easy Installer Driver - If you don't have an optical disk drive, Easy Driver Installer is a handy tool in the UEFI that installs the LAN driver to your system via an USB storage device, then downloads and installs the other required drivers automatically through the internet.
- OMG - Want to have control over how much time your children spend on the internet? ASRock OMG technology allows you to establish an internet curfew or restrict internet access at specified times. Administrators are able to schedule the starting and ending hours of internet access granted to other users.
- XFast - XFast technology can boost RAM and LAN up to fivefold.
