ASROCK Phantom Gaming X Radeon RX 590 8G OC builds on the latest revision of the Polaris 30 graphics core, but it has received some interesting enhancements. This is a major clock rate improvement which ensures an overall more efficient performance. The ASROCK Phantom Gaming X Radeon RX 590 8G OC graphics card runs up to 1 560 MHz. The rear Backplate reinforcement ensures maximum stiffness and also contributes to more efficient cooling.

The impressive and absorbing experiences of this year's new frontier, namely virtual reality (VR), have so far been the prerogative of expensive high-end cards. With the Radeon RX 590 model, AMD aims to get this technology to the most customers and because of its favourable price tag, it can do so. The GPU itself has 8GB of GDDR5 memory. With computing power of over 7 TFLOPS, this is the graphics card for gamers ahead of the curve. Radeon GPUs with the Polaris architecture support HDMI 2.0b  for compatibility with a new generation of monitors that would make any gamer excited: In addition to the upgraded HDMI 2.0b port featuring 4K at 60 frames per second, you'll find two DisplayPort connectors in version 1.4. This enhanced interface can handle up to 5K (5120 × 2880 pixels) or 8K (7680 × 4320 pixels) at 60 frames per second. There is also the Freesync support for smooth images and HDR for great colour results. The Polaris architecture also takes H-format acceleration to 265 up to 4K resolution, even at 60 frames per second.
