The second generation of the AK100 portable FLAC player offers much more than just a simple facelift. It is the result of countless hours of research and development. This time, Astell & Kern's engineers focused on making the AK100's 2nd Generation feel right to our senses rather than mechanically boosting technical specs. A new standard for listening to music was created.

Top audio quality

The AK100 II provides a rich, warm sound experience through the re-tuned A-amp designed specifically for the CS4398 Single DAC. It also features a symmetrical headphone output in order to reduce the external noises. A major improvement is the support of 5.6 MHz DSD formats. The player can also function as an external sound card when connected to a PC or Mac via USB.

Improved design

The AK100 II also received a larger AMOLED display with finer resolution and an interface inspired by the AK240. Browsing through your song collection is now significantly easier. The internal memory of 64GB can be further extended using a microSD card of up to 128GB. The icing on the cake is the redesigned volume control which is now easy to use even when you hold the product with both hands.
