ASUS has also worked on circuit designs that have integrated voltage regulators to provide chipset protection. Enhanced protection will also be used by DRAM memories with integrated reversible fuses to help the system cope with the current short circuit.

Thanks to UEFI, overclocking will be a complete package because you can simply click on the settings using the mouse. Enhanced SMART diagnostics will certainly help to detect potential impending component failure. With Q-Fan Control, you can easily play around with the fan settings, choosing from a few modes, including Silent, or Maximum for truly strenuous gaming. All settings can now also be added to your My Favourites tab, which will allow you to access your favourite tools for a few seconds. Other excellent features include EZ XMP for one-click RAM tuning, or the ability to rename SATA ports for easy identification of individual devices.

A PCIe 3.0 x16 expansion slot is ready for your graphics card, featuring the Q-Slot system for easy removal and insertion of your graphics card, which wraps your computer up in a neat and complete package. Also, increased attention has been paid to memory modules, thanks to the Q-DIMM system you will not have to push anything anymore - the module simply clicks in and is ready to use. The motherboard supports modules with a total capacity of  up to 32GB and a working frequency of 2133MHz.

There are 4 SATA ports at 6Gb/s ready for your storage, and you can easily connect your peripherals via two USB 3.0 ports and four USB 2.0 ports located on the I/O board. ASUS also thought of a front panel extension so you can easily connect your headset or mouse, even though there are also 2 USB 3.0 ports up to 10 times faster than the previous USB 2.0.
