The thin mini format ITX motherboard is equipped almost like a standard board and has many advanced features. Ideally, it will serve as a base for building your own All-in-One PC with low power consumption. There is also a Mini-PCIe x1 expansion slot for the installation of an additional WiFi/Bluetooth card or 2 x mini-SATA ports for SSD drives. There is the possibility to connect up to two imaging devices using one modern HDMI connector supporting high resolution 4096 x 2160 at 24 Hz and 1 DVI connector. The native 1600 MHz memory support and other useful technologies enables you to use the renowned Intel H81 chipset.
In terms of connectivity, the board is equipped very well. Hard drives connect through modern SATA III with a speed of 6 Gb/s or SATA II. The board also connects two devices via USB 2.0 and two other devices via high-speed USB 3.0. The board is also equipped with an EPU chip, which can be activated in AI Suite 3 and save even more energy. After activation, you can optimise consumption of the entire system by automatically detecting current PC load and intelligently moderating power consumption. The Network iControl application can then allocate bandwidth network connection.
The originally manufactured UEFI BIOS, which can be controlled by the mouse, offers a lot of setup options, whether it is a boot device priority, or the ability to rename individual SATA ports, just depends on how you use it. You will appreciate the ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 function, which allows you to restore corrupted BIOS data from a USB flash drive or installation CD containing the BIOS file. Also included in the software, you can use AI Suite 3, which lets you manage the power panels, cooling control, noise levels and processor changes with one click.
