An Even Faster WiFi Connection
The RP-AC66 wireless repeater is equipped with two powerful external MIMO antennas to help eliminate gaps in signals coverage and improve the performance of any existing wireless router. The device has a repeater function, which means it can extend the wireless network to every corner of your home, including difficult to access places.
Very High Wireless Speeds
The latest 802.11ac chipset used in the RP-AC66 delivers outstanding wireless-AC speeds up to 1300mb/sec in the 5GHz band and 450mb/sec in the 2.4GHz band! This high-speed wireless connection is perfect for absolutely smooth gaming, faster web browsing, and other bandwidth-hungry tasks. Cables? What cables?
External Antennas with Extreme Coverage
Due to an improved power amplifier and two external antennas that provide much greater reach and a stronger signal, the RP-AC66 is ideal for use in larger houses and offices. In addition to its wide coverage, you'll be able to take advantage of all of the benefits of fast 802.11ac WiFi connectivity.
One-touch Settings
The Asus RP-AC66 does not require the installation of any drivers or software, in fact you won't even need your mouse and keyboard. Just press the WPS button and the setup is complete. To make advanced adjustments, you can use an Ethernet cable to connect the RP-AC66 to your computer and directly view the configuration menu via a web interface. You can even adjust the settings from your tablet or smartphone.
Signal Strength Indicator
For best results, the RP-AC66 must be within reach of a stable signal from your router and should be located between the router and the place where you require better wireless coverage. The optimal functionality of the RP-AC66 requires the reception of a strong wireless signal from the router. You can check the signal quality by using the signal strength indicator on the front panel.
3-in-1 Device
In addition to its repeater mode, this device can also work as a wireless access point (AP) or as a multimedia bridge. In AP mode, it can connect to any wired LAN and create a personal WiFi hotspot that provides Internet connection for phones, laptops, or other WiFi devices. In multimedia bridge mode, you can connect devices such as a smart TV, a multimedia player or a game console that can make use of a WiFi connection.
Stable Connections Anywhere in Your Home
Due to the practical Roaming Assist feature, you will never have to manually switch you devices' connection between the RP-AC66A and your router. When this feature is turned on, your device automatically connects to the strongest wireless signal, whether it is broadcast from your router or from the repeater. The result is always the most reliable connection anywhere in your home.
