The ASUSTOR 7 series is a data storage solution for professional business environment, where there is no room for error or slow traffic. It supports the latest SMB 2.0, which reduces network traffic load and significantly increases the number of concurrent client connections in Windows. SMB 2.0 was found to increase Windows networking performance by 30-50%, making it ideal for large-scale Microsoft network environments. It also has Windows Active Directory (AD) used by many large companies for centralised management of resources in the network. Windows ACL provides a set of 13 different permissions settings, allowing administrators to configure permissions for individual files and folders that can be applied to different groups and users.

Solid hardware

A powerful  Intel Core i3 dual-core processor's powerful built-in graphics engine gives you the ability to play any video files with ease, on a HDMI monitor and in resolution up to 4K. If you want to use it for straight video playback with high-quality sound, the data storage device has a digital audio output. You can fit it with HDDs or SSDd and configure them in a RAID array according to your speed and data security priorities. You can connect multiple disks and choose both because the NAS supports powerful and multiple disk fail-safe RAID 10, 5, and 6. Although ASUSTOR has two Gigabit Ethernet connectors, you can also install a 10GbE PCIe network card or more memory expansion modules.

All data in one place

With ASUSTOR you can share large files across operating system platforms. For those users who do not have a NAS account, there is Share Links feature that lets you create a link to download the file. Applications pre-installed on the NAS are just the beginning. In App Central you can choose from a wide range of applications to suit your needs, giving the NAS an essentially unlimited potential for network operation.

System environment

Do not worry about the controls, as everything is very simple and clear. Although it is a product with many sophisticated features, it doesn’t take an expert to run it. The new ADM has an intuitive user interface and clear controls not unlike an operating system. The user environment can be adjusted according to your needs and most used applications. The system includes multitasking and background processing. Feel free to keep multiple applications running and switch between them, or run download and backup tasks in the background. The Task Monitor displays the status of downloaded and uploaded files.
