The Asustor 7 series is a data storage solution for a professional business environment, where there is no room for error or slow transfer speed. It supports the latest SMB 2.0 protocol to reduce network traffic load and significantly increase the number of concurrent client connections in a Windows operating system, boosting Windows network performance by 30-50%. The NAS is designed for large networks on a Microsoft platform. It also has Windows Active Directory (AD), used by many large companies for the centralised management of networked resources. Windows ACL contains a set of 13 different permission settings for individual file and folder configurations that can be applied on different groups of users.

Hardware is the key

With a powerful Intel Core i3 processor and built-in graphics card, it can also play video files on a monitor with HDMI and in 4K resolution. If you want to use it for video playback with high-quality audio, the NAS has a digital audio output. It can be fitted with multiple SSDs and supports RAID arrays configurable depending on speed or data security priorities. Connect multiple disks and choose both, because the NAS supports powerful and secure RAID 10, 5, and 6. Although the store has two Gigabit Ethernet connectors, you can also install a 10GbE PCIe network card or expansion memory modules.

All data in one place

With Asustor you can share large files across different operating system platforms. For the users without a NAS account, Asustor has Share Links function to create a download link to the file. The NAS comes preloaded with some apps, but you can expand the app selection to your liking with the wide range of apps available in App Central. This gives the NAS virtually unlimited network potential.

System environment

Don’t worry about the controls, because everything is very simple and user-friendly. Although it is a product with sophisticated features, you don’t have to be an expert to operate it. The new ADM interface is highly intuitive and works similarly to a normal operating system. The user environment can be customised to favour your most used apps. The system includes multitasking and background tasks processing. You can leave multiple applications running and switch between, while the system handles background downloading or backups. Task Monitor displays the status of downloaded and uploaded files.

Dr. ASUSTOR a doctor for your NAS that periodically checks your settings and suggests the right solution if some setting is found to endanger the system security. Do you find yourself checking the NAS constantly because you are worried for your data? Turn on real-time notifications and you can rest easy. The NAS will inform you about everything of importance instantly. Notifications are sent by email and as a text message.
