AVACOM battery 12V 9Ah F2 HighRate

The Avacom maintenance-free VRLA AGM battery has a voltage of 12V and a capacity of 9Ah, and is designed for high-load use. This HighRate battery is suitable for UPS backup power supplies, electronic security systems (ESS), and fire alarm systems (FAS). Thanks to its AGM technology, where the electrolyte is absorbed in glass matting, the battery can be operated in any position. The battery also has increased vibration resistance and a standby life of 3 to 5 years.

A battery for high-load applications

The Avacom backup battery is in the HighRate category, which means it is optimised for devices with a high current draw, such as UPS backup power supplies. Its maintenance-free VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) technology uses valve-regulated lead-acid cells that prevent electrolyte leakage. Thanks to its AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) design, where the electrolyte is soaked into a non-woven fibreglass fabric, the battery can be operated in any position. This also increases its resistance to vibrations.

Lifespan and design features

When used in standby mode, the battery has a lifespan of 3 to 5 years in accordance with the Eurobat standard. The battery is designed for 1100 charging cycles. It consists of six lead-acid cells and uses a flat F2 type connector, 6.3mm wide, also known as a Faston. The entire unit is sealed and does not require topping up with distilled water or any other regular maintenance.

The Avacom battery is suitable for a wide range of devices. It primarily serves as a replacement battery for backup power supplies and security systems. It can be used in uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), electronic security systems (ESS), or electronic fire alarm systems (FAS). Thanks to its standardised parameters and connector, it replaces dozens of other battery models.
