How to keep the battery in a good condition

The battery is partially charged at the factory, yet its capacity and performance are below 100%. Therefore, for optimal battery formatting, it is recommended to repeat the full charge and discharge cycle at least 3 times at the beginning. The battery capacity reduces with permanent connection to the power supply, so it is sometimes recommended to disconnect the device from the mains. What can damage the battery?
