Expansion batteries for laptops
Do you need to be independent of the power source for longer than standard battery packs?
AVACOM offers many expandable battery models for many laptop models, with a higher number of cells than original batteries. The battery is physically larger, and is either widened behind the notebook or lifted at the rear of the notebook, creating a mild, ergonomically more convenient keyboard pitch.
Batteries made of high-quality components
The battery is made out of super-sophisticated electronics with double protection. This section controls the charging of individual cell strings and also protects them from overcharging and subtraction. With more battery cells, the notebook's battery life will noticeably increase, so you do not have to travel with the power adapter for longer appointments.
How to keep the battery in good condition
The battery is partially charged at the factory, yet its capacity and performance are always below 100%. Therefore, for optimal battery formatting, it is recommended to repeat the charge and discharge cycle at least 3 times at the beginning. Battery capacity reduces based on the permanent connection to the power supply, so we recommend that you disconnect the device from time to time. If the battery is not in use, store it in a dry place and check it for approximately every six months.
What causes damage to the batteries
One of the most common causes of battery degradation is when you drop it down completely and do not use it for a long time. Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, charge it only at room temperature. Only use the battery in the devices for which it is intended. Also be careful that the battery is not subject to a short circuit or higher discharge currents. Protect it from mechanical damage, chemical agents and moisture.
