Babysense II is an easy-to-use device designed for use in homes and health care facilities and is suitable for a basically healthy infant but with a high risk of breathing problems requiring permanent medical supervision. The Babysense II breathing monitor is a monitoring device that can help parents cope with the risk of children's breathing difficulties.
During the first year of life, your child may experience irregular breathing or even stop breathing for a time. Babysense II can warn you if these symptoms are a symptom of cold, high fever, or other illness.
In the extreme case, breathing pauses may be related to S.I.D.S. (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), which is still the most common cause of infant deaths up to 1 year of age. This syndrome can not be diagnosed in advance, and even modern medicine has not yet come up with any treatment or solution, so Babysense II has its limitations as a protection. However, it is a unique security system that helps save babies.
Babysense II permanently detects all of a child's movements and triggers an audio and optical alarm if breathing stops for more than 20 seconds or if the respiratory rate falls below 10 breaths per minute. The system includes a control unit and two sensor boards located between the mattress and the bed base, which will monitor baby movements. The sensors are not in direct contact with the child and do not restrict his/her movement.
