BARRIER-6 Hardness

The Barrier 6-Hardness replacement cartridge effectively reduces excess water hardness from the water tap. It not only eliminates mechanical impurities such as sand and rust from the water, it also removes the by-products of chlorination, chlorine, lead, mercury, and the salts that cause water hardness. Filtration is taken care of by a layer of coconut shell activated charcoal and a layer of feldspar mix. The layers exchange ions to reduce the hardness of the water. Unique silver-impregnated carbon fibre technology (USICT) reduces the risk of bacterial growth within the filter cartridge, so you don't have to worry about the quality of the filtered water. This filter cartridge is suitable for all types of BARRIER filters.

The patron is tested and certified by the Water Quality Association (NSF/ANSI 42) for reducing aesthetic chlorine, taste and odour, meets NSF/ANSI 53 for the reduction of cadmium, copper and mercury and meets NSF/ANSI 372 for compliance with the lead directives.
