Basic rules of Carcassonne

The building cards are gradually added to form a landscape with towns and monasteries, roads and meadows, and it gets bigger and bigger with each turn. Players can place pieces on the cards to collect points. Points are counted both during the game and at the end of the game, so the winner is not known until the final count. Several million units have been sold since its launch in 2001. The base game Carcassonne can be purchased incrementally with various expansions, no matter the order.
