With quick and easy tool-free setup, you'll be ready to observe the sky in minutes. The AstroMaster 130EQ provides a clear image of the Moon, planets and star clusters for great nighttime viewing. The mount comes with two slow-motion control knobs that allow you to make fine adjustments to the telescope's pointing in both the rectangular and declination axes, also referred to as RA and DEC. Accessories include a 20mm and 10mm eyepiece, viewfinder and motor drive. Two eyepieces offer different magnifications for low and high power imaging. Built-in upright image corrector. Download the Celestron Starry Night software to learn more about the night sky, celestial objects and how to plan your next observation.

Motor drive
This easy-to-install RA motor drive compensates for the Earth's rotation, so the telescope follows the star's motion through the night sky from east to west. When the telescope mount is correctly polar aligned and the RA drive is connected and running, the user only needs to adjust the declination occasionally (December).to keep the object in the eyepiece for a long time. Celestron's single-axis motor drive runs on a 9V battery, so there are no cables to get in the way. The drive can be used in the northern or southern hemisphere. To reverse the direction of the motor, simply flip the N/S switch on the front of the motor drive. The engine speed can be easily changed.
