COWON X9 8GB Black

The South Korean company COWON strives to make innovative MP3 players that give their users a unique experience. The enhanced COWON X9 not only lets you listen to music in all commonly used formats (including FLAC format), but also manages to play video files and display photos or text information. The device includes an answering machine and the ever-so-popular FM radio, which are often missing in much more expensive smartphones.

The device's selling point is its superb 4.3-inch touchscreen that displays an ultra-fine resolution of 480 × 272 pixels. The cleverly designed interface delivers excellent, full clarity and you can choose your favourite song with ease, even from a particularly large music library.

The excellent sound reproduction is enhanced by a new set of JetEffect 5.0 features and a number of preset equalisers. In addition, this model boasts an internal memory capacity of 8GB. As a result of its pleasant curves, the device is only 12.2mm thin and weighs just 159 grams. The large, integrated battery provides an astonishing 110 hours of music playback. This is the ideal companion for hitting the gym or going for a run, but also for longer commutes to school or work.
