Home Cinema with Dolby Atmos and a Host of Advanced Features
High-resolution 8K video playback is supported on three of the receiver's six HDMI inputs and two outputs. Image quality and compatibility are further enhanced by advanced HLG, HDR, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Dynamic HDR passthrough functions. You can enhance your home cinema with a 5.1.2 speaker setup, which will allow you to enjoy immersive 3D audio with Dolby Atmos technology. In addition, the DA Height Virtualisation feature ensures that even without height speakers, you will feel like the sound source is directly above your head. The Dolby Surround upmixer then effectively engages all speakers to create a unique 3D sound experience even from older audio content.
The Denon AVR-X2800H DAB Offers Finely Detailed Sound
One of the highlights of the AVR-X2800H DAB is its object-oriented DTS:X surround sound format, which creates an immersive and realistic 3D sound field by placing sounds in the right place in the space around the listener. The DTS Neural:X upmixer technology ensures a more realistic rendering for older content, while DTS Virtual:X provides immersive sound even without height or rear speakers. Virtual height sound effects can be created in a 7.1, 5.1 or 2.1 speaker setup.
The Receiver Can be Controlled with Voice Assistants
The AVR-X2800H DAB AV receiver can be controlled hands-free using the Amazon Alexa voice assistant—just download the free HEOS Home Entertainment Skill and enable Amazon Alexa voice commands. Use your voice to easily adjust the playback volume, skip to the next track, switch inputs for different media players and more. Voice control requires the Alexa app and a compatible Amazon device (Echo, Dot and others). Feature availability varies by region. You can also use AirPlay 2 technology with the Siri voice assistant, which allows you to wirelessly stream Apple Music to the AV receiver. The amplifier can also be easily grouped with other AirPlay-compatible speakers, allowing you to cover the space with music even more effectively.
High-Quality Picture Thanks to HDR 10+ Technology
The Denon AVR-X2800H DAB supports HDR (High Dynamic Range), HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), and Dynamic HDR and HDR10+ passthrough. HLG technology is specifically designed for television broadcasting and allows HDR content to be distributed without having to abandon existing standards. The HLG signal works on both new HDR TVs and older SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) TVs. Dynamic HDR and HDR10+ technologies then effectively use dynamic metadata to optimise shadows and highlights as scenes change. The receiver is also compatible with Dolby Vision, an advanced HDR imaging technology that delivers exceptionally clear images with realistic colours and contrast. The Denon AVR-X2800H DAB amplifier supports 8K resolution, including the ability to upscale 4K content. It also features the modern HDCP 2.3 copy protection standard.
The Denon AVR-X2800H DAB Delivers High-Resolution Audio
The Denon AVR-X2800H DAB AV receiver offers exceptional fidelity for high-resolution audio tracks, allowing you to enjoy music the way the artist intended. The front USB port supports high-resolution audio playback up to 24-bit/192kHz in MP3, WMA, WAV, MPEG4/AAC, FLAC and ALAC formats. The receiver also supports the latest technologies on all HDMI inputs and outputs. ARC (Audio Return Channel) and eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) make it easy to play TV audio through your AV receiver with a single HDMI connection. The eARC function allows for the transmission of HD and 3D audio, whereas ARC is limited to conventional 5.1-channel audio formats or PCM.
Built-in HEOS Streaming System
The Denon AVR-X2800H DAB amplifier features the HEOS built-in service, which enables convenient wireless music streaming from various free and premium streaming services (Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music HD, AirPlay 2) using compatible HEOS components. You will also appreciate the built-in DAB+ tuner and TuneIn service, which make it easy to receive digital radio broadcasts or internet radio stations. Add Denon Home speakers to different rooms and control your music playback conveniently using the HEOS app. You can stream the same music in every room, or you can easily select a different music source for each space.
Easy Sound Setup with the Audyssey MultEQ Editor App
The Audyssey MultEQ Editor app allows for detailed sound setup and tuning, which you can easily customise to your preferences. With this comprehensive app, you can harness the full power of Audyssey MultEQ XT32 technology to take full control of your home cinema sound. Denon receivers use the Audyssey software suite for simple, accurate setup and calibration. Included is an Audyssey measurement microphone that measures all the speakers in your home cinema and automatically tunes the AV receiver to provide the optimal sound performance tailored to the specific characteristics of the room.
