Display Protection - General Terms of Service


I. Terms definition

“Display Protection“ service

The “Display Protection“ service (hereinafter referred to as the “Service“) consists in the Seller' s obligation to apply the display protection using a protective product purchased by the Buyer from the Seller. 

“Protective Product“

Screen protector or protective film as offered by the seller and compatible with the type of goods on which the service applies. 

Seller

Alza.cz a. s., IN: 27082440, Company ID number: CZ27082440, with the registered office at Jankovcova 1522/53, Holešovice, 170 00 Prague 7, entered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section B, Insert 8573. 

Buyer

a natural or legal person who purchases goods or uses services for his or her personal use, for the purpose of conducting business, or for the purpose of doing business using these goods or services.


II.  Purchase of the service alongside a product

  • Every buyer has the option to purchase the service when purchasing a product to which the option of purchasing this service applies. Only one service application can be purchased for one product unit. 
  • The products to which this service option relates are marked as having this service option at the time of purchase. 
  • The service can only be purchased before the order is collected. The service cannot be purchased retroactively. 
  • The price for the Display Protection service is always listed in the product detail on www. alza.cz
  • The buyer pays for the service together with the purchase of the product covered by this service. 
  • The service is explicitly listed on the purchase document.
  • If the service is applied to a device that already has a screen protector, the screen protector will be removed and a new one will be installed.


III. Service provision

  • The buyer acknowledges that in order to provide the service, it is necessary to unpack the purchased product which the service relates to, and agrees that the Seller will unpack the product for this purpose. 
  • The buyer acknowledges that the provision of the service requires additional time to be performed properly and that ordering the service may affect the delivery date of the product.


IV. Service purchase and provision at a branch store

  • The service can also be purchased directly at a branch store (for a delivered product or after collecting the order). 
  • In order to receive the service at a branch, it is necessary to have purchased your own protective product from the seller, or to purchase it at the branch before application. It is not possible to provide the service using a protective product purchased elsewhere than from the seller. 


V.  Lifetime warranty

  • For the first service application, the seller provides a lifetime warranty by providing the buyer with the right to have the applied protection replaced in case of unintentional damage (detachment not caused by the buyer but a manufacturing defect of the protective product). 
  • Lifetime warranty covers only the first applied protective product. 


VI. Service claims 

  • If the buyer wishes to make a claim regarding the service, it is necessary to provide photo documentation that the service was performed poorly. An assessment will then take place and, in the case the service claim is accepted, the seller will exchange the display protection for a new one of the same type or issue a credit note. 
  • If the claim is accepted and resolved by applying a new protective product of the same type, the lifetime warranty on the newly applied display protection still applies. 


VII. Time of service provision and termination of service

  • The service is provided at the time of delivery of the goods to the buyer. The buyer - consumer agrees that service is provided before the expiration of the 14-day contract withdrawal period and acknowledges that if he or she exercises this right after the goods have been delivered, they are not entitled to a refund of the service price. 
  • In the event that the seller is unable to provide the service within the specified deadlines, the seller undertakes to issue a credit note for the price of the service in its full original amount.
