The Edimax WAP1200 Wireless Access Point provides flexible wireless networking for the benefits of the high-speed 802.11ac standard. You can enjoy a better and more stable Internet connection when downloading, playing games, streaming video or using any other application. Dual-band technology with the 2.4GHz (speed up to 300Mbps) and 5GHz (speed up to 867Mbps) frequencies will ensure fast and reliable connectivity for demanding tasks such as high-definition video and audio.
The WAP1200 access point allows up to 100 users to connect simultaneously, making it an ideal solution for hotels, hospitals, schools or offices. The 150% increased coverage compared with conventional devices eliminates so-called deadspots, and roaming technology does not lose signal even when switching between individual access points. With a pair of removable antennas, the router provides wide coverage, so you can enjoy wireless access anywhere.
The Edimax Pro NMS (Network Management Suite) wireless management system is accessed through your Internet browser. It allows the configuration of 8 access points, a map view, data flow statistics, and list of active clients. Additionally, you can configure the RADIUS server, VLAN, access control, guest network, and update the firmware on each managed device. NMS can be installed on one device and allows you to control 8 Edimax Pro access points, eliminating the need to use controllers.
You can mount the WAP1200 using a set of brackets or strong magnets. The WAP1200 complies with PoE standards (802.3at 802.3af) and the use of solid capacitors ensures a long service life and stability. You can gain access to the access point via an Ethernet cable that simultaneously transfers data and power. An alternative is power supply via the power adapter. The WAP1200 Access Point can be equipped with a protective cover that prevents unauthorised persons from accessing, disabling, or disassembling them.
