Automatic shortening of the paper decreases the size of upper and lower edges, the width, the line spacing and the height of the barcode. This reduces the cost and the amount of consumed paper. Reduction of the cost of the paper is also achieved by cutting off the receipt before another one is printed. You will recognize that another receipt is being printed by the logo that appears on the upper top of the next receipt. This reduces the upper edge by 12 mm.
