The Eve Cam with Secure Video Surveillance, Smart uses classic infrared night vision, which is invisible to the human eye but provides enough light for the sensor. The integrated IR LED illumination has a range of 5m and will reliably render the outlines of the room and figures in absolute darkness.
Advanced Detection and Smart Features
The security system relies on immediate situation assessment right inside your home. The camera records movement and, through local analysis on your home hub, distinguishes between people, animals, and vehicles. It sends instant mobile notifications to your iPhone for any detected activity, so you're always aware of what's happening. An integrated status LED indicator clearly signals the current operating mode, whether recording is active or completely off.
Two-Way Audio for Easy Communication
This model is equipped with complete audio hardware for remote interaction. The camera body combines a built-in microphone and a built-in speaker. This combination provides clear, real-time two-way audio, allowing you to talk to your pets or communicate with household members directly through the mobile app.
Secure Cloud Storage for Recordings
All recorded data is subject to privacy standards. The camera does not have a slot for physical memory cards but uses exclusively encrypted cloud storage within the HomeKit Secure Video service on iCloud+. Recordings are stored based on presence or motion detection, and only the user can access the history through their authorised Apple devices.
Connectivity and Apps
Wireless connection to your home network is handled by a dual-band Wi-Fi module that supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. For setup and full control, you can use the manufacturer's Eve app or the native Apple Home app in iOS. The system requires an Apple TV or HomePod as a central hub, which performs local image analysis and enables voice control via the Siri assistant.
