The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti takes maximum advantage of the outstanding Pascal architecture based on an ultra-fast FinFET production process with full DirectX 12 support. It uses the GP102 chip which also forms the basis for the mighty Titan X, but NVIDIA has reworked it for the 1080 Ti. Although the memory bus width was dropped to 352 bits, it has the fastest memory modules ever used, at an astounding 11,016 MHz. Thanks to this, the throughput was increased up to 484GB/s. The gains compared to the 320GB/s of the GTX 1080 are exceptional within a single generation.
