The Fiskars Splitting Axe is designed to split logs with a diameter of over 30 cm and has a 35° cutting angle for splitting wood effectively. The unique convex shape strengthens the edge to make it less sensitive to fracture, while the rounded edges of the widened wedge make it easier to pull the clamped axe from the logs.
