The Fiskars X5 Splitting Axe is the perfect axe for splitting medium and large logs or for outdoor activities. The new blade geometry facilitates pulling tight ax from the chopping block. The actual blade has two degrees of hardness - the body in a standard 48HRC, and the blade in 55HRC. Like other Fiskars axes, this model offers a perfect balance between the head and haft for safe, comfortable and efficient use. The handle is also made of a material FiberComp, which makes the axe almost indestructible. The axe comes with a plastic sheath for easy portability.
