Run-time analysis

The watch will help you evaluate your running technique through its detailed statistics "Running Dynamics".  It will, for example, measure the contact time of your feet, stride length, height, rebound and compare the movements of both legs. It allows you to test your fitness throughout your entire workout. Depending on your performance, it will reveal possible overtraining and propose a rest period. 

To monitor advanced statistics, the watch must be used in conjunction with the Garmin HRM chest sensor or Tri-HRM-Run. 

Ideal for biking

This cycling watch is equipped with a range of handy functions.  It has a speed sensor, and a sensor for measuring cadence. It also calculates indicators of aerobic endurance such as your "VO2 max". In addition, you will see the current altitude calculated via GPS. It maps more detailed data such creating an elevation profile with statistics on altitude meters, either lost or gained and they can later be viewed in the journal Garmin Connect. 

VO2 max can only be calculated when using the chest sensor HRM-Run or HRM Tri-.

For advanced monitoring statistics when swimming, both the watch and Garmin chest sensor Swim-HRM and HRM-Tri. must be used.
