The Gigabyte company introduces a new model of the successful GTX 1060 graphics cards, bearing the additional name AORUS. In fact, this version is designed for gamers, who expect maximum performance in all gaming scenarios. From the beginning, the graphics chip is overclocked to the highest possible values and it is accompanied by a massive cooler, which perfectly cares for all the components.

Cooling, cooling, cooling...
A high-performance, of course, needs a proper cooling. The manufacturer hasn´t been idle and they equipped the card with one of the best coolers, the WindForce 3X technology, containing three specific layers.
The top layer is formed by three 80mm fans, whose blades are specially shaped to provide up to 23% greater airflow. Underneath these, there is a massive aluminium base plate with heat pipes for better heat dissipation, which directly touch the GPU itself. The third layer is a black copper plate, which adds to the thermal cooling, as well as the overall strength of the graphics card. We must mention the handy 3D Active Fan feature. When there is a minimum strain, the 3D Active fan turns the fans off to minimise the unnecessary noise.
Top performance
The new 16Nm production technology, as well as the new Pascal architecture, result not only in significantly higher performance, but far greater efficiency. The basic GPU frequency itself reaches the high limits of 1632MHz (OC mode), which swings up to 1860MHz during Boost Clock. GPU is then complemented with an extremely fast GDDR5 memory with a frequency up to 9026MHz.

The card includes an intuitive OARUS Graphic Engine, which helps you adjust the performance and features of your card easily. There is, for example, fan speed setting, core frequency setting or its voltage. The program monitors the status of the card and allows performance tuning in real time.
