Virtual reality at your fingertips

Until now, the full extent of the incredible experience that virtual reality can offer has been limited to expensive high-end graphics cards. With the Radeon RX 460, MSI aims to introduce this technology to as many customers as possible, and thanks to its affordable price tag, it may very well succeed. The GPU is backed by 2 GB GDDR5 memory and its over 2 TFLOPS performance rivals NVIDIA’s Pascal products, which are twice as expensive.

Lead in both resolution and frame rates

The connectivity is exactly what you would expect from a modern graphics card. Aside from an upgraded HDMI 2.0b port, capable of outputting 4K at 60 fps, there is also a DisplayPort 1.4 connector on the back. The improved interface can handle resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 at 120 fps. The card also features FreeSync support for extra smooth image and HDR for excellent colours. The Polaris architecture also handles H.265 hardware acceleration in up to 4K and 60 fps. 

Improved GIGABYTE model

GIGABYTE equipped the card with a proprietary cooling solution, known as Windforce 2X. The carefully designed construction combines two fans with copper heat pipes, giving the card outstanding cooling performance at extremely low noise levels. Its special 3D structure ensures lower operating temperatures compared to the classical AMD Radeon RX460.

The card includes the intuitive Xtreme Engine tool, which can help you easily adjust the performance parameters. You can manage fan speeds, GPU clock speed or voltage. The program monitors the status of the card and enables performance tuning in real time.
