Gigaset COMFORT 550
The Gigaset COMFORT 550 landline phone impresses with its timelessly elegant design, perfect ergonomics, cutting-edge technology and maximum comfort. This cordless phone has excellent acoustics. And when you're working from home, you'll always have your hands free thanks to the headset connection and integrated speakerphone. The large, high-contrast colour TFT display (44×35mm) features graphics and fonts that ensure optimal readability, various colour schemes, and symbols for navigating the main menu. It's also very convenient, as the Jumbo mode allows for an extra-large display of digits when dialling. Large individual buttons with a noticeable press point and a backlit keypad make the phone the perfect companion.

Protection against unwanted calls
The phone can block unwanted calls. The newly developed comfort call protection reliably protects you from advertising calls or dangerous phone scams. You can easily block up to 150 phone numbers. Unwanted callers can be blacklisted or redirected directly from your call history. You can also block or mute anonymous callers at any time. And thanks to time control, you can specify periods when the phone should or should not ring. However, you can give certain callers preferential treatment by entering them into a VIP directory, allowing you to speak with them at any time. The call protection function is even more comprehensive if you only allow callers who are in your address book. With this setting, all other calls are blocked.
Large directory and personalisation options
The phone's directory can store up to 200 contacts, each with three phone numbers. The entries can also be easily exchanged between Gigaset handsets. Programmable speed dial keys allow you to contact your preferred callers more quickly without tedious typing. And thanks to the automatic birthday reminder, you'll never miss their special day again. You can customise the cordless phone to your individual preferences. You can choose between a preset dark display background, which matches the modern design of the phone, or a high-contrast white background. For the screen saver, you can choose between an analogue or digital clock. You can also select the right frequency range from two acoustic profiles for an optimal listening experience. You can even assign custom ringtones to important callers.
A phone for all ages
Thanks to its easy-to-read display and hearing aid compatibility, the phone can be enjoyed by older people too. The direct call function means that all buttons trigger the dialling of a pre-assigned number. This is ideal for young children who can't read yet, as the right number is always dialled. The baby monitor function is also very practical. When a noise threshold is exceeded, the phone automatically establishes a connection with other handsets in the home or even with mum or dad's smartphone. In baby monitor mode, incoming calls are only indicated visually on the display—without a ringtone.
ECO DECT technology
The Gigaset COMFORT 550 is expandable up to six handsets, which you can place anywhere in your home. It is very compatible and can be expanded with Gigaset HX handsets. The phone is also environmentally friendly thanks to ECO DECT technology. The phones are radiation-free in standby mode, even when using multiple handsets, provided that the base and all connected handsets support ECO DECT. During a call, the transmission power automatically adjusts to the distance between the handset and the base. This means that the shorter the distance between the base and the handset, the lower the radiation. To use the maximum DECT range, you can deactivate ECO DECT mode at any time.
