How to Play and What to Play

The Google Home Max is operated via voice control so there are no buttons on the speakers themselves  (except the switch and reset). Simply download the Google Home app to your smartphone, "teach" the unit your voice and start by saying a genre or a particular song you're in the mood for. 

Once connected to the internet, you have the ability to play over 40 million songs from YouTube Music alone. But Google Home Max also has AUX input for direct connection to an external player, as well as the ability to synchronise with Google apps on your smart devices with WiFi or Bluetooth.

It can also be practical to sync your Home Max with your Home Assistant or Google Home Mini. If you connect a unit to one of the assistants, you can enter voice instructions for it and, in doing so, guide the player.
