GRIFFIN BreakSafe USB-C
The Apple MagSafe connector has literally saved millions of laptops from damage caused by the tripping of the power cord. But with the introduction of USB-C on the new MacBooc, this security element has been eliminated. However, the BreakSafe quick-acting magnetic connector replaces it fully. It connects to the USB-C of your notebook and ensures safe disconnection when it is curled through the cable , for example, when the power cord is tripped . The simple magnetic connector is just 12.8 mm deep, so you can leave it plugged into the USB-C of your notebook even if you are not using it.

Advanced protection system
Because it is designed for efficient power delivery to charge your laptop's battery (up to 60 W), BreakSafe contains four different security features for your notebook.
- Visual: Visual marking on the connector cover to the user shows the correct way to connect the cable and the connector.
- Magnetic: BreakSafe magnets allow only the correct connection method to ensure the correct polarity according to both the source and the notebook.
- Design: BreakSafe contains two small keys embedded in a magnetic connector that physically prevent the magnets from being connected and prevent improper connection.
- Electric: The BreakSafe central ground contact is the first conductive element when you touch the cable and the connector. This ensures that all static electricity is discharged before the power cord starts to power the notebook.
Use
BreakSafe is suitable for USB-C power supplies that came with your laptop. Designed to transmit up to 60 Watts (20 V / 3 A) and designed and tested to meet all USB-C performance standards. However, be aware that BeakSafe is only for charging, data transfer and video is not supported.
