The new Harman Kardon BDS 885S is a high-performance, 5.1-channel home theater system that plays 3D video from Blu-ray discs. Together with a good TV it can transport you into thrilling action scenes or the wide open plains you know from your favourite movies. The system supports upscaling, enhancing the resolution. Its rich selection of modern technologies includes DLNA 1.5 support, WiFi, connection to external drives via USB, and Bluetooth with NFC or AirPlay for Apple products. Among the advantages of this model is the option to set playback within your network or ability to control the system via iOS and Android devices. Digital audio as it should be

Dolby TrueHD and DTS Digital Surround deliver all audio in the crystal-clear quality its creators intended. The system is one of the first Blu-ray Disc systems in the world and boasts Dolby Volume technology, which ensures the same sound volume when switching from a variety of sources. This means that the jarring jumps in volume are now a thing of the past. TrueStream technology ensures wireless streaming in the highest quality possible. Finally, Harman EzSet/EQ III system provides automatic room calibration.

Connectivity centre

The system boasts broad connectivity support. It is equipped with three HDMI inputs for high-quality audio and video transmission via a single cable. One of them supports MHL technology for transmitting video in Full HD 1080p and audio directly from your compatible mobile phone. Built-in AirPlay allows you to connect your Apple devices, while Bluetooth with NFC support takes care of other smartphones or tablets. You can also connect your iPhone, iPad, or even a hard disk via USB and play the stored content. Thanks to built-in WiFi, the system can be incorporated into a home network, where you can connect to a large amount of online content, including YouTube, Picasa. and AccuWeather.
