Basics of the house:
Please take EXTREME care in building the foundation for the house. Build the foundation so that the top edge of the foundation extends about 5 cm over the surrounding ground. The foundation must be accurately balanced to the horizontal and drained so that the foundation beams lie level. To prevent direct contact with the ground and the ingress of soil moisture into the beams, line the house support grid with bitumen cardboard strips. For the durability of the foundation, the following most important prerequisites must be met - substrate, squareness and precise plane. With a quality foundation, the house will last many years longer.
Roof:
The roof is made of chipboard. Roofing material is not included in the delivery and must be added immediately after construction according to your own choice. For houses with pitched roofs we recommend self-adhesive bitumen cardboard, for flat roofs self-adhesive aluminium-bitumen roofing foil. For roofs with a pitch of >15o, bitumen shingles are also suitable. Required number of rolls of self-adhesive bitumen roofing 1 x 5 metres for this house model = 1 roll.
Surface finish of the house:
Natural timber - prior to installation, all components must be treated with a deep-acting primer and anti-blueing and anti-mould coating on the exterior and interior of the components. For the final coat, use a weather-resistant varnish with good physical properties to protect the wood against moisture and sunlight. The glaze should be water-repellent, lightfast and moisture-resistant at the same time. Make sure that the varnish has enough colour pigment, otherwise the wood may turn grey. Don't use any varnish! Do the next coat after it has completely dried and aired. Thoroughly protecting the wood will have a major impact on the life of the garden house. The surface protection of the house must be repeated regularly to keep the house in good condition.
Permission to build a house:
A wooden house with a solid foundation may require certain permits from local authorities. Therefore, before buying a house, check the current situation with the planning permission at the building office.
