When you need a powerful yet compact machine for earthmoving work, it’s not just power that matters, but also the ability to operate in confined spaces. The EXC 1400 mini excavator is designed to handle excavation, demolition, and municipal work, landscaping, garden maintenance, or material loading—even in places where larger equipment simply cannot reach. The Scheppach EXC 1400 is a compact mini excavator with an operating weight of 1,010kg, which, thanks to its slim design and adjustable track width of 720–900mm, can navigate narrow passages and confined spaces. The robust 180mm wide rubber tracks can be controlled independently, ensuring precise manoeuvring. The machine has a maximum speed of 1.8km/h and can handle gradients of up to 15°.
Equipment
Power is provided by a 420 cc four-stroke gasoline engine with an output of 8.5kW (11.5HP). A powerful hydraulic system with two pumps (2× 13L/min) provides a breakout force of 5.7kN at the arm and up to 13.2kN at the bucket, so it can handle even denser soil. A swing speed of 8.8rpm and a full 360° swing range ensure maximum flexibility during operation. Additionally, the arm can be tilted 45° to the left and 85° to the right, allowing for precise digging along walls or in narrow trenches.
Specifications
Operating parameters include a maximum digging depth of 1760mm, a reach of up to 2925mm, a loading height of 2115mm, and a dumping height of up to 3055mm. The standard bucket, with a width of 350mm and a capacity of 0.022m³, is ideal for routine earthwork on a smaller scale. The equipment also includes a large grading blade for stabilizing the machine or grading the terrain. Comfort and safety are enhanced by an electric starter, a parking brake with a hydraulic lock, and powerful LED lighting integrated into the boom for working in low-light conditions.
