Homematic IP HmIP-WRC2 represents a complete revolution in Smart Home, bringing you uncompromising German quality, comprehensive solutions and a wide range of modularity, including a portfolio of products for automation, security and building protection. The programmable wireless wall-mounted remote control is part of the Homematic IP smart home system. Two buttons for manual control of devices or remote control of smart home system functions. The device can control lighting, blinds, shutters, garage doors, etc. The intelligent wall-mounted remote provides two channels that can distinguish between long and short button presses. For example, you can switch lights on or off or activate or deactivate the ECO heating mode. The individual buttons can be customised to your individual needs via the Homematic IP mobile app. Depending on the assigned program, each button can control multiple devices and functions of the Homematic IP smart home. Each button can be independently configured and thus conveniently control already connected (programmed) devices.

System operation
The connection of the wall-mounted remote control (HmIP-WRC2) with the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system using an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The Mobile App enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud that allows you to set up and control your system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update device software and firmware, and pass configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP App to individual smart home devices.
Unique solution
When creating profiles and scenarios, you can consider all your needs in terms of building security requirements, automation, heating and a range of other criteria depending on your priorities. The Homematic IP smart home system, of which the wall-mounted remote controls (HmIP-WRCx) are part, supports voice control and communication with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. For safe, stable and reliable communication, the system has its own unique radio technology between the devices.
Easy to assemble
Wireless communication and battery operation offer the option of simple installation without the need for wiring, meaning the wall-mounted remote control (HmIP-WRC2) can be installed through a standard flush-mounted box or placed freely anywhere. Mounting with mounting material (dowels, screws) or fixing with the supplied adhesive tapes. Power is provided by two AAA pencil batteries with an extremely long life of up to 4 years. The controller can be integrated into the 55 mm Battery Stand (HmIP-DS55) or operated without batteries in combination with the 55 mm Battery Power Supply (HmIP-BPS-2). Open design for integration into multiple third-party frame types (e.g. Berker, Elsa, Gira, Merten, Jung, etc. ).
Use
The Flat Wall Remote Controller (HmIP-WRC2) offers flexible installation options and wide modularity of use in a classic design that can handle several tasks simultaneously. By pressing one of the two buttons, the controller provides a wide range of solutions from simple commands to complex smart home control scenarios. Thanks to battery operation, the button can be unobtrusively placed or installed in the desired location.
