High-quality memory module destined for performance systems, servers and multiprocessor computers with support for ECC Registered technologies. ECC checked transparently and in real time integrity of the data stored in memory. It is able to find and fix a bug in one bit and detect the error in two bits. Some memory controllers are able in cooperation with ECC memory to correct mistakes larger scale. Most server boards require memory with ECC support.

Registered memory are equipped with a controller that controls access to individual memory modules and facilitates the work and memory controller on the motherboard or processor. Memory outwardly behaves as a single module - chip index - which takes care of the writing and reading of individual memory cells and the controller transmits to the outcome of these operations. This increases the efficiency of memory access and processing speed even when using more memory modules simultaneously. Some server boards require registered memory.
Memory has two separately addressable areas (rank memory). Most server chipsets have limited the number of memory rank or directly prescribed by the memory configuration for each slot, so you need when buying a watch that figure with respect to future upgrades - when you reach the full number of memory rank on the motherboard, you can not add another module even if they remained free memory slots.
Memory module with the organization of chips "x4" are designed for the most demanding applications, supporting a wide range of professional technologies such as multiple-bit error correction, Chipkill, memory scrubbing or Intel Single Device DataCorrection (SDDC), making them ideal for critical applications and critical servers.
