IK Multimedia iRig BlueBoard
The IK Multimedia iRig BlueBoard midi pedal is designed for iPhone, iPad and Mac computers. It allows guitarists, bassists and keyboard players to wirelessly control their music applications by switching different presets, changing sounds or changing effect parameters.
Key features of the IK Multimedia iRig BlueBoard MIDI pedal
- Bluetooth MIDI pedal (10 m range)
- Illuminated footswitches for program, bank or other MIDI events
- Two 6.3mm jack inputs for connection of optional accessories - Expression pedal, which can send continuous MIDI events or On/Off switch
- Bluetooth iOS app runs in the background on a mobile iOS device or Mac and translates Bluetooth events to MIDI
- IK Multimedia iRig BlueBoard runs on standard AAA batteries
IK Multimedia iRig BlueBoard offers wide compatibility
IK Multimedia iRig BlueBoard can run any software, that is MIDI compatible - like IK AmpliTube, VocaLive, SampleTank, iGrand Piano - or any app, which is compatible with Core-MIDI, like Apple's GarageBand. This highly mobile device uses Bluetooth 4.0 technology to transmit events from its four backlit footswitches and possibly two additional optional pedals. Using the iOS app and Mac software - iRig BlueBoard - the Bluetooth signal is turned into MIDI events and internally routed to the music app running on the device.
IK Multimedia iRig BlueBoard gives you wireless freedom
Since it is a wireless transmission, you can set the scene or make any change without being tethered to the stage. The IK Multimedia iRig BlueBoard has a range of 10 m, giving the musician enough freedom to roam around the stage, which would not be possible with a cable. Since the pedals are backlit, they are always easy to see, in any lighting conditions, even on a really dark stage.
Lightning connector remains free
The fact that the IK Multimedia iRig BlueBoard uses wireless technology means it doesn't take up any of your iOS mobile device's connectors. So at the same time, you can use the 30-pin iOS device dock connector or Lightning connector to connect devices like iRig HD, iRig MIDI or iRig Keys. Of course, you can also simultaneously use devices that use mini-jack iOS devices such as the iRig or iRig Mic.
