Capture Your Entire Surroundings in 8K Resolution
The Insta360 X6 camera records 360° video in native resolution up to 8K at 50fps. You don't have to decide where to point the camera in advance—the device captures the entire surroundings and you can reframe the resulting shot as you wish. Also available are 360° photos with a resolution of up to 120Mpx and photos taken with a single lens at a resolution of up to 42Mpx. A high level of detail is maintained even when zooming or cropping.
Large Sensors and a Triple-Chip System
The dual square 1/1.1″ sensors, developed in collaboration with Sony, have been designed to capture more light and deliver a cleaner image with a dynamic range of up to 13.5EV. The image data is processed by an octa-core 4nm processor with a frequency of 3.3GHz, along with two separate image chips. These handle noise reduction and continuous colour calibration, while the main processor handles image processing, 360° shot stitching and stabilisation.
True-to-Life Colours Day and Night
AdaptiveTone 2.0 technology analyses the lighting conditions in different parts of the scene and helps preserve detail in both bright and dark areas. The improved PureVideo mode works with two ambient light sensors that reduce flicker when shooting in mixed lighting. PureVideo supports 360° recording at up to 8K at 30fps and flat video at up to 4K at 60fps. The camera also automatically optimises skin tones, so portrait shots look natural even without additional editing.
10-Bit Colour, Dolby Vision and I-Log
The Insta360 X6 captures images in 10-bit colour depth with over a billion shades of colour. Dolby Vision support optimises the contrast and brightness of each frame according to the scene captured, while the I-Log profile preserves more information in the highlights and shadows for subsequent professional colour grading. The camera is therefore suitable not only for instant sharing, but also for more demanding post-production.
Three Types of Camera in One Device
You can use the Insta360 X6 as a 360° camera, a classic action camera, and a compact camera with automatic tracking. Single-lens mode captures wide-angle video at up to 5K at 60fps, or slow-motion footage in 4K at 120fps. InstaFrame 2.0 technology can track people, objects and pets and export standard flat video in 4K directly from the camera.
Stable Image with Every Movement
FlowState stabilisation automatically compensates for vibrations caused by walking, driving or sports. In addition, the 360° Horizon Lock function keeps the horizon in the correct position regardless of how you rotate the camera. Footage therefore remains smooth and level even with sudden changes in direction, rotation or flipping of the camera.
Bright OLED Display and Convenient Controls
The colour OLED display reaches a brightness of up to 1,200 nits, so it remains easily readable outdoors in direct light. Always-On mode allows you to continuously monitor the recording status without having to repeatedly activate the display. In addition, the built-in pressure sensor allows you to start or stop recording by pressing anywhere on the display, making it easy to operate, for example, while wearing gloves.
Ready for Water and Challenging Conditions
You can use the Insta360 X6 camera underwater up to a depth of 20 metres without any additional casing. The new generation of Replaceable Lenses 2.0 is more resistant to scratching and its design makes it easier to replace a damaged lens if necessary. The Star-Ridge cooling technology efficiently dissipates heat from the powerful components and helps maintain stable operation even during long high-resolution recordings.
Long Battery Life and Fast Charging
The 2,600mAh Xtreme Battery allows for up to 140 minutes of 360° video recording in 8K at 30fps under laboratory conditions at a temperature of 25°C. Fast charging replenishes the power from 0 to 80% in approximately 25 minutes. The battery is also designed for operation at low temperatures down to -20°C, so you can use the camera for winter sports and other outdoor activities.
Internal Storage for Instant Shooting
The Insta360 X6 offers 47GB of internal storage for saving photos and videos directly on the device.
Clear Sound and Automatic Mode Selection
The camera features wind-protected microphones that record immersive sound from all around. A separate internal microphone uses the camera's body to conduct sound and is optimised for capturing engine noise, for example. The intelligent sound mode recognises the surrounding environment and automatically selects the appropriate setting. Up to two Insta360 Mic Air or Mic Pro transmitters can also be connected wirelessly.
Automatic Processing with AI
Its own APEV AI model can analyse 360° footage, find interesting moments and automatically create a finished video. The AI Director function processes the recording while the camera is charging and sends a notification to the Insta360 app upon completion. It automatically adds appropriate cutouts, virtual camera movements, edits, transitions and music. Further options are offered by Auto Edit 2.0 and FlashCut templates, which allow you to prepare a video for sharing without tedious manual editing.
Insta360+ Cloud Service
The optional Insta360+ service allows you to automatically back up your captured files to the cloud, share them via a link, and edit or export recordings remotely. The Moments feature can automatically compile selections of the most interesting moments from your saved videos and supplement them with ready-made templates.
