Intel is setting the 7th generation of its "i" processors this time codenamed Kaby Lake. Basically, it is a very similar architecture to the previous successful Skylake series. Intel, however, has worked on various optimizations, and the result is a processor that delivers real performance growth, while maintaining minimal energy performance.

Improved manufacturing technology
