Major Core Overhaul

The fourth-generation of Core processors represent an evolutionary step named “Tock”. Unlike Tick (Ivy Bridge), it does not consist merely in fine-tuning the production process and adding minor modifications, but brings very significant innovations in the entire core design. The processor features the Haswell New Instruction set, while the GPU core ushers in a new era with an Iris chip.

The Intel Core i5-4690 Quad-core is clocked at 3.5 GHz and must be placed in the new 1150 socket.  Intel HD Graphics 4600 with an increased frequency of 1200 MHz perfectly complements the CPU. Thanks to performance increase of up to 100%, it leaves older chips far behind. With Direct3D 11.1 support, it can easily run latest games as well.

The second generation of the Turbo Boost technology will increase the frequency to 3.7 GHz, allowing all cores to exceed their base frequency. The maximum frequency depends on the number of active cores, and the length of the overclocked period depends on the workload and operating environment. The upper frequency limit is determined by reaching the limit of the four indicators (number of active cores, electric current drawn, power consumption, CPU temperature).

Cool Accessories

The processor is supplied with a stock cooler with sufficient performance for a trouble-free operation of the CPU. However, we strongly recommend that you choose one of the more advanced aftermarket coolers from our selection. The result will be lower temperatures and noise level in the long run.

Dobrý den, mám dotaz ohledně teploty. Při malé zátěži dosahuje teplot 50-60°C, ale při zátěži až 90°C... Chladič je základní co přišel s balením a je správně umístěn. Chladič není moc zaprášen. To je základní chladič tak špatný nebo mám vyměnit pastu?

Dobrý den, mám dotaz ohledně teploty. Ze dne na den se mi zvýšila teplota o více jak 10°C. Dříve v klidu 35-40°C, teď 47-50°C. Hraní her např. GTaV Dříve 58-62°C, nyní 74°C a hru raději vypnu. Netaktoval, nic takového, pastu jsem pro jistotu vyměnil MX4. Na skříni osazeny 3 ventilátory. Ventilátor na procesor jsem neměnil. Procesor je usazený v ASUS MAXIMUS VII RANGER. Nějaké nápady čím to může být?
