The Intel Core i5-7640X processor is designed for motherboards equipped with the LGA 2066 socket and the upgraded Intel X299 chipset.

Cutting-edge technology

The processor offers 4 cores and is part of the new, modern X series. It has been made using a 14nm manufacturing process with the latest state-of-the-art technology. Each core runs at a basic frequency of 4.0GHz with the option of Turbo mode and automatic overclocking up to 4.2GHz. Just like with the previous generation, the memory controller is integrated directly into the chip. It is a four-channel DDR4 memory controller which can now operate at a frequency of up to 2666MHz. Furthermore, the processor has a cache of 6MB.

Dobrý den, v popisu k procesoru máte uvedeno "Procesor Quad-Core, 4.2GHz (112W), Turboboost 4.0GHz" mám chápat teda že procesor jede na 4,2 GHz a turbo v totmto případě spíše šnek je 4,0 GHz ? nemá to být náhodou obráceně ?

Tohle Monstrum má být ta reakce na AMD Zen? Intel zbrzdil vývoj procesorů o celé roky a teď nám chce nacpat v roce 2017 CPU s 4 vlákny a TDP 112W? Asi se zbláznil. Procesor je nekompatibilní se staršími sockety, je velký jako státní dluh, ale hlavně je neperspektivní. Nikdo už nechce žravá CPU, nikdo si už nechce každé 3 roky kupovat NEW board, paměti a pod. Chce snadný upgrade. Intel jde opět cestou Prescotů, Pentií 4. Toto je krok zpět, nemohu si pomoci. Mimochodem nová levná dvoujádra Kaby Lake mají vyšší teploty nežli 8 let stará čtyřjádra. Ach ty úspory.
