This 8-core Intel Core i7-11700 Rocket Lake CPU, with a working frequency from 2.5 to 4.9 GHz, fits into the LGA 1200 socket, ideally with the Intel 500 series chipset. However, you can also use older Intel Q470, Z490 and H470 series boards.

Intel Rocket Lake processors feature the most significant change in the field of microarchitecture we have seen in recent years. The last refresh saw Intel using Skylake-derived Comet Lake cores—now we have all-new Rocket Lake cores based on Cypress Cove microarchitecture. Technologically, these are 10nm chips from Ice Lake processors with Sunny Cove cores, backported to Intel's 14nm process node. This allows you to enjoy higher operating frequencies on the Intel Core i7-11700 Rocket Lake processor—even when dealing with heavy workloads.

The Intel Rocket Lake platform delivers support for PCIe 4.0 with 20 PCIe lanes, a new memory controller, more powerful IGP and hardware support for the upcoming AV1 video codec. Dobrý den, pracuji s náročnějšími úpravami fotek a jelikož nyní mám stále ještě i5 2500k, chci udělat upgrade na něco novějšího, ale stabilního, ověřeného se slušným výkonem, cenou a nízkou spotřebou. Je tento i7 11700 vhodný ? nebo mi na foto (upravuji velké soubory v PS, Nik, Topaz ap) a vzácně video stačí zase i nějaký i5 ? Hry nehraju vůbec.. děkuji. LP
