The Intel Core i7-5820K is a six-core processor which offers extreme performance and is designed for professionals, demanding gamers and enthusiasts. Compared to the previous CPU generation, Haswell-E brings a significantly increased computing performance, more effecient power management, as well as a wide range of new technologies. Furthermore, the time-tested Hyper-Threading technology allows simultaneous processing of up to twelve threads. Along with an unlocked multiplier and the advantages of the 22nm manufacturing process, these attributes make this processor a truly uncompromising solution.

New Generation of Lighting-fast Cache 

Data access is extremely fast thanks to the L3 cache with the size of 15 MB, which ensures immediate response in all applications.

The Haswell-E CPU family also introduces a quad-channel memory controller with a phenomenal maximum transfer rate and a full-fledged quad-channel memory support for the frequency of 2133 MHz. Additionally, the efficient algorithms of the memory controller give you an incredibly low latency and guarantee high performance even in the most demanding applications.

Automatic Overclocking

The second generation of the Turbo Boost technology boosts the clock frequency up to 3.6 GHz and enables the cores to exceed their stock frequency. The maximum frequency depends on the number of active cores, while the length of the overclocking period depends on the workload and operating environment. The upper frequency limit is determined by reaching threshold values of the four indicators (number of active cores, electric current drawn, power consumption, CPU temperature).
