Quad-Core Intel Core i7 870 is a suitable solution for efficient and affordable modern home computer. 2.93 GHz, 8 MB cache and an integrated DDR3 memory controller provide enough power to work, even the most demanding multimedia games.
The new range of Intel i7 socket 1156 is designed for the best price/performance ratio. Socket 1156 processors are dual-channel memory controller, it is not necessary to capture the Triple Channel memory kit with a chipset 1366th
Very interesting is the Intel Turbo Boost, which allows overclocking busy cores, or vice versa off underutilized. Overclocking is done by changing multiplier. Each core has its own multiplier, therefore, may be the case when the two cores will be turned off and the remaining two runs each on a different frequency. This feature can very positively affect consumption without negative impact on performance.
