INTEL DX79SI supports DDR3 memory with a capacity up to 64 GB, which can be spread over a total of 8 slots or 2 slots per channel. There is also support XMP profiles that allow memory speed increase over 1600 MHz. To connect the graphics cards in multi-GPU connection NVIDIA SLI or AMD CrossFireX serve a total of 40 lines in three PCI Express 3.0 slots. All line interface PCI Express 3.0 come directly from the processor, which means lower latency and higher performance for the latest generation graphics cards.
