Technology on the cutting edge

The processor features 6 physical cores and is part of the modern Haswell series. It is manufactured using a 22nm process with 3D tri-gate transistors. New instruction sets have been added to offer higher performance at the same clock speed. Each core runs at a frequency of 3.5GHz with Turbo mode and automatic overclocking, if necessary, up to 3.8GHz. As in the previous generation, the memory controller is integrated directly into the chip. It is a quad-channel DDR4 memory controller that can operate at frequencies up to 2133 MHz. CPU cache is up to 15MB.

Intel Turbo Boost 2.0

This technology accelerates processor and graphics performance for peak loads. Overclocking is done by changing the multiplier, and since each core has its own multiplier, it may happen that two cores are turned off and the remaining two are running at different frequencies.
