It is now launching the new, extremely powerful Intel Xeon E5-2609 v4 processor designed for servers as well as classic computer stations. It is designed primarily for maximum loads and reliability while in continuous operation. The Intel Xeon E5-2609 processor is designed for motherboards equipped with a new modern LGA2011-3 socket.

Top Technology from Intel
The Intel Xeon E5-2609 v4 processor offers 8 physical cores and is part of the modern Broadwell series. It uses the 14nm production process and has a 5% better IPC over the Haswell generation, in terms of interprocessor communication. There are new instruction kits that offer higher performance at the same beat. As with the previous generation, the Intel Xeon E5 also integrates the memory controller directly into the chip (this is a four-channel DDR4 memory controller). The Intel processor cache is up to 20MB.

This makes it very effective to resolve software compatibility issues on newer operating systems. In addition, the Xeon E5-2609 v4 also includes the latest Intel VT-d virtualisation support that adds support for I/O devices in virtualised environments. There is Intel Enhanced Speedstep technology that allows you to reduce power consumption during the times when no full power is required.
