Turbo technology boosts performance
The new v3 series of Xeons, designed for the LGA 2011-3 socket, introduces DDR4 memory support into server enviroments. The Intel Xeon E5-2650 v3 processor is based on the latest Haswell architecture and boasts 10 physical cores, allowing the processing of up to 20 threads simultaneously thansk to HyperThreading, making it a great choice for workstations with reliable and stable performance.
Automatic Overclocking
The second generation of the Turbo Boost technology boosts the clock frequency up to 3.0 GHz and enables the cores to exceed their stock frequency. The maximum frequency depends on the number of active cores, while the length of the overclocking period depends on the workload and operating environment. The upper frequency limit is determined by reaching threshold values of the four indicators (number of active cores, electric current drawn, power consumption, CPU temperature).
