JRC - Prut Contact LR 12ft 3.6m 3.5lbs

This three-piece JRC carbon fibre composite is rigid for its full length and definitely will not disappoint you at the decisive moment. It also excels, just like the rest of the Contact series, with a favourable ratio of quality and price. This 12ft rod features a lightweight DPS seat for the reel, the surface of which is reinforced with Carbon Armour. The 3.6 metre long rod consists of three parts and can be folded down to a length of 1.25 metres for easier carrying. You can also find lightweight LTS SIC eyelets, a line clip and a 50mm eyelet.

The JRC Contact carousel has a value of 3.5 lbs, indicating the bar test curve. You will find out at what load the beam bends to the right angle and derives the maximum throwing load converted to grams. 3.5 pounds corresponds to 1,588 grams, and after dividing this figure by 16 you get about 99 grams, which is just the maximum throwing load. Here it is taken into count that you will cast with maximum force, swing the load or even run. What is important is that you will not damage the rod at all. You can also use heavier lead, but definitely cast more cautiously.
