This Kingston low-voltage memory module serves to increase server performance while multitasking or executing demanding tasks. This module is specifically designed for with seamless compatibility on selected IBM servers. This is a great choice if you need to expand the memory on your server - especially if you require high performance with increasing demands of users on data load and running software.

The ECC technology performs transparent real-time checks of the integrity of data stored in the memory.  It can find and fix an error in one bit and detect it in two bits. Some memory controllers are also able to repair large-scale errors when cooperating with ECC memory. Most server boards require memory with ECC support. In cooperation with parity control, the memory provides maximum control of transmitted data. The parity control means that an auxiliary information (the so-called parity bit) is added to a one-bit word, so it can subsequently verify the authenticity of the transferred data.?

Registered memories are equipped with a custom controller that controls access to individual memory modules, making it easier for the memory controller to work on the board or processor. The memory behaves externally as a single module - the register chip - which takes care of writing and reading and from individual memory cells and transfers the results of these operations to the controller. This increases the efficiency of memory access and processing speed even when multiple memory modules are used at the same time. Some server boards require registered memory.?
