The drive allows access only by entering a password on the integrated keypad - which can be either a word or a combination of digits. It also has a second layer of protection: 256-bit AES encryption built into in the drive's memory.

The Kingston Data Traveler 2000 flash drive is ideal if you want to securely store data that you do not want getting into the wrong hands, as it comes equipped with two layers of security. The first security barrier is a password that is entered directly on an alphanumeric keypad situated on the body of the drive itself. You may choose either a word or a combination of digits. The second layer is 256-bit encryption, which is built into the drive's memory. The PIN you choose for this is not stored on the disk and is kept totally separate from all data.
